Do you believe everything you think?
Thoughts are what govern our attitudes, emotions, behaviour, lifestyles and mind-sets, but have you ever considered what influences our thoughts and why?
The quality and direction of our life depends greatly on the quality of our thoughts, the quality of the information we use to create them, and a person's ability to process that information. The Church fails to understand that they too play a part in assisting Christians towards a renewed mind and often fail to provide the teaching, support or resources that people need to live out from a renewed mind.
Satan seeks to imprison a Christian’s ability to think independently with a free will. God wants us to make Holy Spirit led and informed choices which lead to a transformed life through a renewed mind.
Thinking that comes out from the soul cause people to struggle with relationships, friendships, careers and all too often they struggle with how they believe God sees them.
God has a lot to say, and a lot to reveal, about the spiritual warfare that lies behind imprisoning a person’s thinking. The ability to think independently without bias, influence and prejudice is the most powerful single gift that God has given to man to know and understand God’s purposes for the Christian’s life and this can only come through a renewed mind, Romans 12:2.
2 Cor 10:5, tells us the battle that Christians fight will mean, ‘Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ …’
A significant problem that a believer can face is being unaware of the strategical value of binding up a person’s ability to think. They struggle to even recognise the enemy at work let alone deal with his strategies. Satan is aware of this strategic value and manipulates it to his advantage. Satan will do all he can to confuse, mislead, distort a person's thinking to bring about his agenda.
For unbelievers the god of this world has blinded their minds unless they see the glorious light of the Gospel,
(2 Cor 4:4).
Rethink challenges the thinking that goes behind a Christian's behaviour, to help bring about a renewed thinking and a transformed life by reclaiming the power and ability to think in Spirit and truth rather than perception, lies, feelings, prejudice and fear: helping them regain control of the pattern of their lives with responsibility, accountability, healing and growth.
Rethink seeks to assist Christians to recognise, understand, confront and manage influences on their thinking that are designed by Satan to bring it into submission to ungodly and unfruitful behaviour preventing maturity in Christ and non-conformity to the world.
Rethink has been running courses, seminars, workshops and mentoring to individuals, churches, church leaders, Christian organisations and suchlike, for over 15 years with wonderful fruit.
Rethink has gathered much experience as God has taught us about the renewed mind, the transformed life and considerably more about ourselves.
